You want to be an important member of a strong team of other makers who take pride in their work and support each other. As an entry Inside Sales Representative, with technical capabilities, you will be responsible for taking customer phone calls, entering orders and providing customers with pricing, product information, etc.

What You'll Be Doing

% Time Job Responsibilities
40% Take customer phone calls, enter orders and provide customers with pricing, product information, shipping dates, etc.
40% Receive emailed, EDI and faxed orders to input into our order entry system
10% Review and consult with customers on job quotes, plans, and custom solutions.
10% Extensive product knowledge training will be provided, especially during the first two years.

Desired Skills and Experience

If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • High School Diploma
  • Classes in Construction Industry
  • 2 Years — Customer Service or any related construction experience
  • 2 Years — In addition, technical experience related to wood construction, plan reading, general understanding of engineered wood floor and truss systems.
  • SAP Program Knowledge — Preferred, but not required
  • Computer Skills — Keyboard minimum of 40 WPM, working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook including Email and Calendar functions.
  • Accountability & Dependability — Able to demonstrate reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Mathematical Reasoning — Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions and decimal equivalents.
  • Reading Comprehension — Able to read and write basic correspondence and to follow instructions.
  • Communication — Able to communicate one-on-one and in small group settings.
  • Customer Focus — Able to solve customer problems quickly and effectively.
  • Basic Construction — Basic construction knowledge of wood frame buildings, material take offs, and blueprint reading.

This job requires 0% domestic travel.

This full-time position is located in Brampton, ON.

Relocation is not available for this position.
